Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist in development of communications strategy and work plan for World Vision Pakistan in line with International Communications Strategy * Build strong relations with media to promote World Vision Pakistan’s profile * Write powerful news stories/press releases and articles for media and website reflecting World Vision themes and priority areas * Disseminate World Vision stories to media/journalists and pursue them for proper coverage with a view to make World Vision visible and credible * Assist in making budget plan for communications unit along with detailed plan of activities for communications function * Assist in implementing Communications plans and activities * Other communications work that builds profile of World Vision in media and people * Undertake different campaigns in collaboration with theme program officers * Regular visits to World Vision Area/Field offices for activities coverage and powerful news stories * Any other assignment relating to communications

Skills Required:

Masters in journalism/communication/ sociology with at least 3 years of experience with a reputable development organization. Excellent writing skills are must for this job, background in journalism with help. This position requires extensive traveling to remote areas of Pakistan.
