Retail Sales Manager

Job Description:
Job Overview
As the Store manager you will be responsible for running the SMART LIFE store to meet companys targets and policies. Your aim as a manager will be to maximize profits whilst minimizing costs. As the Manager you will have to ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the companys standards, staff are fully versed on the target for the day and excellent customer care standards are met both in-store and for all customer installations.
You will also be required to deal with human resources, marketing, logistics, information technology, customer service and finance.
Key responsibilities
· Manage and control all the aspects of store operations to promote cost effectiveness, sales and profitability.
· Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control.
· Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits.
· Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales strategy to meet sales targets, develop the team and increase business in conjunction with the line Manager.
· Analyzing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning.
· Using information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
· Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.
· Ensuring standards for quality, customer service.
· Responding to customer complaints and comments;
· Organizing special promotions, displays and events;
· Attending and chairing meetings;
· Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
· Maintaining awareness of market trends in the AV retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;
· Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market;
· Dealing with sales and marketing.
· Managing and motivating staff to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
